The Nano Awards - Results!
After receiving many brilliant submissions from the users here, and after quite some time spent between the staff team judging the excellent array of videos presented by the community, it's finally time to release the results of The Nano Awards 2009!
Results
Without further ado, the results are available below. Congratulations to all the winners, and the community team will be in contact with you soon regarding prizes. To all those who didn't make it into this final list, all the videos the staff team viewed were well worth watching and of a very high standard; who knows, the competition may run again next year. It should also be noted that the third place category has been removed.

How can a Fantrailer be most original?

I think I have seen a fantrailer somewhere in the internet before ......
If you ask me, the dinosaur mod (what was ist called again? lost world?) is much more original than a fantrailer only using standard assets.

Nice results, pretty much what I excepted.
Sorta dissapointed that all my F5-ing was for nothing, but, oh well. There will probably be another one

Yea, its not that I have a problem with multiple-wins, as some of the videos were VERY good, but a little heads up would have been nice. When I first saw it, i was sort of thinking "erm, typo or screen lag?".

Well done marcocatena, you must have really made an impression on the staff with your trailer. You basically won all of the awards! You're going to have an entire crate of Crysis bags sent to your house.
To people confused or not sure about him winning 10 times, he shouldn't be reduced to not winning so much out of a sense of 'fairness'. If the staff felt that video was the best, then it was the best and shouldn't win less prizes because it was good enough to win all of that.

I know and I don't wanna be 'that guy' but...my only complaint would be that I lost Most Original to somebody who used clips from the Crysis 2 Trailer released by Crytek and voice acting from t.v./movies...
Not to say I'm not content with my placement but I just found that odd...

We can't really judge videos down because they've done well in other categories, that wouldn't be fair.

I can't believe you didn't get 1st or second in Best Fan Trailer Cinder. If it was me judging, you'd be there instead of me but different people like different things. I know there are people who like my work and people who don't.
Still, you did a great trailer. It's a shame you didn't get the recognition in a news post but you know that your work is good, people tell you every day on Youtube.
