Crysis GDC '06 - Jungle Fight v2 - 56k WARNING *RELEASED*


Ok, some of you might remeber the little map i made earlier this year, which sort of resembled the "Jungle Fight" map.

Well, its been a while (what? 5 or 6 months), and i think i should release my new version Big Grin

OK, ITS OUT. ITS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

Thats the release page, its got download info, and ill be answearing questions on it. so this thread is really, just dead... so yea... use the official one Big Grin

*UPDATE 3*
Ok, this is the LAST update, as im going to post this thing on wens. the 2nd or thurs. the 3rd. Its done. lol.

Just to answear some questions.
-Its running on the default very-high settings (some cfg modding for XP), and ill be releasing a CFG along with it, for this level.

-It uses a CUSTOM TOD, but it is restricted (its only looks good at the time I set it at).


*UPDATE 2*
Ok, so this will probably be the last or 2nd last update before release.
I've finalized just about everything, and all thats left is small, boring tweaks to make it look better.


(ignore the FPS, that was from a film clip i made)

SPAWN POINT (Lol, last one didnt have one)

This will HOPEFULLY stop the question of "the sunrays".
Taken @ high settings + "r_sunshafts = 1"

Im still finalizing the map.
Also, the TOD didnt save, so the final might look SLIGHTLY different.

*The TOD was inspired by "crazy-eyez-killah's" Jungle Fight map. Its been edited though...

Sure. I posted them with blur because i like the effect that it adds.

I think the Vegetation of the GC video looks much more better then final Crysis. Is looks more real and not like paper splitters with green colour.

Changing the colour of the plants is possible, but i dont know how ATM.

when i release the map, ill post the TOD settings... Big Grin

As for the sunrays, im working on it. its still a WIP.

[update] the sunrays MIGHT look better because of the motion blur. Ill check that.
(first post = with motion blur in battle, second = still image)

id be surprise if it was the blur, it just looks more pronounced and is larger in the 1st shots. in the 2nd shots they are smaller and dont extend as far down towards the ground

Dude, this almost look better than the original. It's not the same sun color though, try changing the sun color to more whitish like and see how it turns out. Just as a test, post pics if it looks good. Smile I dunno', but making the shadows darker could also make it look more like the original.

the 1st and second shot has the same settings, same TOD, same everything. Those are stills from 1 video i made. which then failed because Cryengine2 decided to record at 15FPS, and not 30.

Ill make another one when i get home, and check the mo-blur.
